Over the past six days, the Sierra Nevada Hounds’ home base at Argosy Farms has been in the middle of the Bug Fire activity. We are eternally grateful for our community that rallied behind us to help move hounds and horses to safety.

Fortunately our main structures are standing but we did lose infrastructure around our kennels, as well as all around Argosy Farms. In addition to structural impairment, our hounds, horses, and members have all been displaced for days. The unexpected costs of being evacuated multiple times are surmounting.

By donating to the Sierra Nevada Hounds Foundation, you’re helping us when it matters most; prioritizing safety and care for our hounds and ensuring we can rebuild what we lost in the fire. Every contribution makes a meaningful difference.

We are reminded that even during the most challenging times, we are not alone. We are backed by an incredible community.

Follow the hounds, find your people

Thank you for your interest in the Sierra Nevada Hounds Hunt Club.  We are located in Reno, Nevada and hunt Coyote on tens of thousands of BLM public lands.  Our members are a lively cross-section of age groups and experience, from lifetime hunters and veteran riders to proud parents leading their youngsters on ponies.

About SNH Hunt Club

At the Sierra Nevada Hounds Hunt Club, we strive to maintain the traditions of riding to hounds. We sport the scarlet and black coats that you see in the old hunt prints.  We keep 14 or more couple of Walker and American Foxhounds in our kennels.

Hounds are hunted by our professional Huntress Raina Robrahn and assisted by several Whippers-In.  We have multiple fixtures for hunting and we will be hosting exciting events throughout the year, including opening and closing weekends, a formal Hunt Ball, summer hunter paces, and an annual Hunter Trials Horse Show.

Thank you to our partners and sponsors that helped make last season such a success! WE couldn’t have done it without you!
